Coming Soon: Gangstar: West Coast Hustle

May be the best GTA-type game yet for the iPhone.
A mysterious teaser site was found on the Internet about a week ago, but the true identity of the game remained a secret. The font and style of the website led some to believe Rockstar was finally developing for the iPhone, while others claimed it was a text-based upcoming MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online Game) named “The Cartel.” However, the site was ultimately traced back to Gameloft
As the name suggests, the game takes place in the largest city on the West Coast: Los Angeles. The player will be dropped into a world of crime: cars to be jacked, missions to be completed, and the police will hound you every step of the way. Driving is accomplished with both touch and accelerometer controls, although how specifically has not been revealed yet. Firing your weapon is by touch and the game has an auto-aim function. Several radio stations have been included inside the game but the new 3.0 firmware update also allows the player to use their own music, if they choose so.
The player will start the game nothing more than another person trying to make a name for himself, but will make acquaintances, build up his gang, gather money and establish his power.
No word on a specific release date besides before the end of summer.
Check out the screenshots below and a clip showing a trailer for the game off-screen.
