Rumours about Safari 5 and Mac OS X 10.6.4

There are rumours that Safari 5 web browser will be presented very soon, it is entirely possible this will happen at The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which opens today. There is also unconfirmed report stating that browser update will be fitted with functional which will intensify Apple and Google rivalry.

The update is supposed to add Bing search except Google and Yahoo, and this is allegedly the result of recent arrangement with Microsoft. Expected improvements are as follows:

– Safari Reader which allows reading articles on the web on a single page;
– Adopted from Chrome and Firefox function of address history viewing in address bar;
– Opening new windows in form of Tabs;
– Improved HTML 5 support;
– Improved performance. 25% faster Javascript both for Mac and Windows;
– Microsoft platform will be able to process many visually intensive effects faster due to new
hardware acceleration.

There is another rumor about new Mac OS X 10.6.4 presentation at the same event, this new OS is supposed to include fixes that:

– resolve an issue that causes the keyboard or trackpad to become unresponsive;
– resolve an issue that prevents some Adobe CS3 applications from opening;
– resolve problems with copying and changing files on Samba servers;
– resolve an issue editing photos in Aperture and iPhoto in full screen view;
– resolve a problem in DVD Player when using Good Quality deinterlacing;
