Honeycomb 3.1 (HMJ37) For Xoom Users Rolling Out (Download)

Google has announced the next version of their tablet pc optimized mobile operating system, Honeycomb 3.1 with major updates at Google I/O conference 2011. And Motorola Xoom becomes the first tablet to get this update.

Verizon are rolling Honeycomb 3.1 update to the their Motorola Xoom 3G users. The update will bring new features such as customizable widgets, ability to act as a USB host that will allows you to pair gaming controllers, mice, keyboards, etc. with it, lets you import photos to your tablet directly from your digital camera, and take advantage of a number of USB devices, even including Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers.

More the update will also brings new application i.e. Google Music Beta along with new video editing apps like “Movie Studio”, Movies and Books apps etc. Once you update your Xoom tablets to Android 3.1, you can able to rent thousands of movies as well from the Android Market through movie rental service and can be streamed or downloaded from the web.The rented movies can be stored for upto 30 days long if you did not start watching other wise you have to complete watching it by 24 hours once started.
