NextAroundYou released their Wikihood, a wonderful app for Apple iPad. The program will help you to find out about the great spots next to your location, wherever you are in the world. Just a few taps on your iPad and this app gives you a list of interesting places around you (or any other location you choose), including detailed info and images.

The program uses sources such as Wikipedia in order to collect data related to your location and organizes the information in form of easy to read lists as Wiki in not most iPad-friendly website.
